Crash! Your phone fell to the ground and broke. Rest assured, here's what to do to be covered. This list is available for information purposes, always refer to the terms and conditions of your policy.

In what situations are you covered?

AXA Luxembourg : téléphone portable cassé

You just made your phone drop out of your pocket. The screen is now broken, rendering your device unusable.

Rest assured, all your multimedia devices (smartphone, television, tablet, computer) are covered by the “multimedia equipment” cover as part of OptiHome home insurance (Active or Privilege Package) in case of:

  • theft worldwide
  • breakage or destruction resulting from a fall, a shock or the penetration of a foreign body, making it necessary to repair or replace the multimedia equipment.

 

Depending on the package chosen, the coverage is:

  • €5,000 maximum (mobile equipment excess:€ 350) with the Active Package
  • €10,000 maximum (mobile equipment excess: €125) with the Privilege Package

With the Privilege formula, the excess never applies in the event of repair of your mobile equipment.

What to do first

Keep hold of your damaged device. In the event of theft, file a complaint with the local police and insist on obtaining a crime report.

Putting together your compensation file

Here are the steps to follow for you to be compensated:

Step 1: Complete the claim form that you will find on your MyAXA portal or on our website https://www.axa.lu/fr/assurance-habitation. Specify the circumstances of the claim and the nature of the damage

Step 2: Attach photos of the damage to your declaration (except in the event of theft)

Step 3: Attach the purchase invoice for the damaged item or any other document proving you own the item (mandatory)

Step 4: Attach a detailed quote for the repair of the damaged property or for its replacement
